MACOMB (WGEM) – Tuesday afternoon some Western Illinois University students had the opportunity to perform newly composed music in front of an audience. WIU School of Music held a student concert for friends, family, and the public. What made this concert really unique was the music being performed was composed by students, giving them some real world experience into music composition. Universal Music Group Removes Songs from TikTok: More Bad News |

TikTok has started to remove songs published by Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) due to an ongoing licensing dispute with its parent company, Universal Music Group (UMG). A report has said that the short video format platform is losing more songs than anticipated, following the removal of songs owned or distributed by UMG in January.A report by TechCrunch said that the removal affected all songs written or co-written by songwriters signed to UMPG, regardless of who owns the recording.
