SHoP Architects to create Mercedes-Benz’s 2.5M square feet upcoming residential venture bringing a new mode of modern, luxury living to Miami

Miami, Florida, USA

Designed collaboratively by American Prize for Architecture laureates SHoP Architects and the Mercedes-Benz Design Team, the 67-story Mercedes Benz Places tower will bring a new luxury car–branded residential project to Miami, featuring simple geometric bodies, interconnected to create a cube- shaped volume.

The development follows Mercedes-Benz’s design philosophy which is sensual purity.

“This philosophy, based on the duality of emotion and intelligence, consists of a hot and a cool pole. “The cool aspect represents very much the tradition of geometric German long-lived design that originated in the Bauhaus,” explains Mercedes-Benz’s Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener.

“This crucial part of our brand was the inspiration for the architecture of this extraordinary new Mercedes-Benz Places landmark in Miami.”

Terraces and individual balconies envelop almost the entire facade of the building, creating an extensive network of outdoor spaces that offer residents direct access to fresh air and views, enhancing the living experience by integrating indoor and outdoor environments seamlessly.

The silver color dominates the building’s facade in a stimulating contrast with Mercedes-Benz’s emblematic black and white highlights and a large Mercedes-Benz logo will be affixed to the building’s entrance.

Mercedes Benz Places will be ready for occupancy at the end of 2027.
